The Bachelor of Professional Studies-Information Technology Concentration program educates students in the theory and acquisition of technical competencies associated with the information technology profession. Successful graduates of the program receive fundamental knowledge and application in both the information systems function and in system development. This program is designed to meet the needs of the adult student who cannot attend school because of family, work, and/or other obligations.

Courses completed in the Regents Online Degree Programs/Regents Online Continuing Education - Campus Collaborative are entirely online in an asynchronous 24/7 format and transferable among all the participating institutions. Students are able to select the technology center, college, or university of their choice (home campus) for their admission, registration and the award of their certificates, diplomas, degrees, or Continuing Ed. Units (CEU's). All institutions are fully accredited. All twenty-seven technology centers deliver and award technical certificates and diplomas. All thirteen two-year community colleges deliver and award associate degrees. All six TBR universities deliver and award the bachelor degrees and master degrees. Advising, library services, student support, and other forms of student assistance will also be available on-line. Students will have technical support 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Degrees and courses will be offered in an interactive, asynchronous format. That means that you can access your classes anytime and anywhere during the 15 week semester format.

For PC users, the minimum computer system that will help you access all the tools in the courses is a Pentium 166 or better. The system should have 64 Megabytes of RAM or better and Windows 98 (or higher, if possible). A dependable internet service provider (ISP) is very important. For Mac users, minimum system requirements for Mac users are a 604 PowerPC processor (preferably a G3-iMac are included) or G4 processor computer running Mac OS 9.x or above. As stated above, a dependable internet service provider (ISP) is needed. The above specifications are minimal; the more sophisticated systems will serve you better. In addition the RODPHelpdesk@tbr.edu email address is monitored on a rotating basis
by all members of the RODP technical support department.

Live, online tutorial services are available for specific RODP courses. All RODP students have access to an on-line knowledge base and 24 hour a day, 7 day a week helpdesk resources. In addition, an on-line virtual Student Center is available, which includes a Virtual Library, Virtual Bookstore, ADA assistance, on-line Advising, and Career Center.
