If you are a student from a college or university in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, or Texas or a member of the National Guard on assignment in the Gulf Coast region whose studies were disrupted by Hurricane Katrina or Hurricane Rita, Sloan Semester is designed for you. It can help you continue your education without your having to transfer or relocate to another institution. Search our catalog of hundreds of free online courses available in an accelerated timetable. Complete our online application (VESA) to speed your enrollment. Getting Started

Your first step is to establish an account. It's quick, easy and free. To create your account, please start here. Then you can search the course catalog and find courses you might want to take, you can save them for future reference and complete the online application. Once completed, you won't need to input the information again. It is saved and is secured as part of your profile. Indeed, it will follow you throughout the site and will auto-populate your VESA when you reach that point.

Apply

Ready to apply? Well, it's not applying in the usual sense, but a way for you to get clearance to register for those courses you want to take. Sloan Semester is using the SREB Visiting Student Program, or VESA (Visiting Electronic Student Authorization) to streamline the admissions/registration process for you. VESA provides a convenient way for eligible students to be certified for enrollment in courses at providing institutions. There is no charge to submit the online VESA application which can be completed in a matter of minutes. The VESA form is auto-populated from the account and student profile information you provided earlier. If you haven't created your account yet, you should do so now.
