  • Sheila Tillman, who returned to her alma mater as a culinary instructor and was named chairperson of A-B Tech's Hospitality Education Department in 1993. Sheila, who has led the culinary technology program to national acclaim, was chosen as the winner of the State Board of Community Colleges and the First Union Foundation's Excellence in Teaching Award in 1995
  • Hayes Harris, who was chosen as the Southeast Junior Member of the Year by the American Culinary Federation in 1999, and represented the United States in the World Junior Masters Cooking Competition in New Zealand
  • Ray Spells, vice president of Wachovia Bank's Trust Department and vice chairman of A-B Tech's Board of Trustees
  • Bill Murdock, executive director of the Eblen Foundation and the Eblen Children's Charities and a member of the A-B Tech Foundation Board of Directors. Bill teaches in the Duke University Nonprofit Management Program, has authored numerous articles, and consults with many local, state and national nonprofit organizations. He was named an Outstanding Scholar in Social Enterprise (non-profit studies) by the International Biographical Centre of Cambridge, England
