Please fill out the online application as thoroughly as possible. When you are finished, click the 'SUBMIT' button on the left column of any application screen. Print the application agreement statement that appears after you submit the application. The nonrefundable application fee is $30 (MasterCard or Visa).

Georgia Southern must receive your application for admission by the following dates. International applicants must submit materials 30 days prior to standard deadline.
Georgia Southern recognizes academically talented students with a variety of academic scholarships or positions in the University Honors Program. To qualify, students should have demonstrated achievement inside the classroom, outstanding SAT/ACT scores, leadership experience, and extracurricular involvement. Georgia Southern awards 200 scholarships to outstanding incoming freshmen and transfer students every year.
Complete the Application for Scholarships (which includes the application for the University Honors Program) by the deadlines listed below. The Application for Scholarships is available online at admissions.georgiasouthern.edu or you may request a paper copy by e-mailing scholarships@georgiasouthern.edu.
The 1906 Scholars, a select group within the University Honors Program, accepts 15-18 freshmen each year.These students receive a scholarship in the amount of tuition and receive all benefits of the University Honors Program. The minimum cumulative grade point average for the 1906 Scholars is a 3.5, and the SAT requirement is a 1300 (math + critical reading only) or a 29 ACT composite.The application deadline is November 9.
The University Honors Program (UHP) at Georgia Southern is designed to offer exceptionally able and diligent students the opportunity to enroll in particularly stimulating classes and to integrate their classroom learning with the needs of the community in which they live.The minimum SAT/ACT to qualify is a 1200/27 (math + critical reading only) and the minimum cumulative GPA is a 3.5.The UHP accepts 135 students each year. Selected students will interview for 30 $1000 annual, renewable scholarships.The application deadline is February 1.
Academic Scholarships — To qualify for an academic scholarship, a student must earn a minimum 1200 SAT score (math + critical reading only) or a 27 ACT score, and demonstrate academic ability in the classroom.The application deadline for academic scholarships is February 1. Most scholarships require a personal interview.

Applying for financial aid isn't as complex as you might imagine. For a step-by-step checklist, go to our financial aid website at students.georgiasouthern.edu/finaid. Start the process by completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), available from your high school counselor or on the web by calling (800) 4-FED-AID or by going to www.fafsa.ed.gov. You should complete the FAFSA by April 20th for fall semester assistance.
