Complete this online application and return it to the Office of University Admissions with a nonrefundable $50 application fee (U.S. dollars).
Freshman Application Instructions
- Transcript(s) Request that your official high school transcript(s) be sent to the Office of University Admissions.
- SAT/ACT score(s) Mercer recommends a score of at least 500 on each section of the SAT or 21 on each section of the ACT for admission consideration.
These minimums are not a guarantee of admission.
Each file is considered on an individual basis.
Request that an official report of your SAT/ACT scores be sent to the Office of University Admissions.
A score on an official high school transcript is acceptable.
- Résumé Submit a résumé showing academic honors, extra-curricular activities, and work experience.
- Dual enrollment/joint enrollment/postsecondary option If you have participated in a dual enrollment program, request that your college and financial aid transcripts be sent to the Office of University Admissions.
- Financial assistance Beginning in January 2006, all applicants for freshman admission are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by February 15, 2006.
Mercer will send applicants a copy of the FAFSA.
Students may also obtain a copy of the FAFSA from their high school guidance office or online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
- Application options
- Early action Students applying under this plan should submit their application and supporting documentation by November 1, 2005.
Admission notifications will be mailed by November 15, 2005.
Under this plan, a student does not have to make the decision of final enrollment until May 1, 2006.
These students will be considered for invitation to the Collegiate Fellows Scholarship Competition held in late November or early December.
- Regular decision This is the most common process of applying for freshman admission.
If a student applies using this plan, he or she should submit all official application materials and supporting documentation by April 1, 2006.
Students will be notified during three official notification periods: January, February, and March.
Transfer Application Instructions
- Transcript(s) Request that your official high school and/or college/university transcript(s) be sent to the Office of University Admissions, Mercer University.
High school transcripts are required only if 30 or less semester college credits have been earned.
All college transcripts are required.

International Application Instructions
- Transcript(s) Request that your official secondary or university transcript(s) be sent to the Office of International Admissions, Mercer University.
If you have studied in the United States, please include a letter of good standing for the current quarter/semester.
- Financial support statement Please send a statement to Mercer, certified by a bank official, showing enough financial support for one year's tuition and living expenses.
If you have a sponsor (father, mother, uncle, government, etc.), a letter of support must accompany the financial support statement.
- Scholarships Undergraduate and transfer international students are not eligible for academic scholarships.
- SAT/ACT/TOEFL score(s) Request that an official report of your SAT, ACT and/or TOEFL score(s) be sent to the Office of International Admissions, Mercer University.
A score on an official secondary school transcript is acceptable.
Mercer recommends a score of at least 1000 on the SAT or 22 on the ACT.
TOEFL score should be at least 550 (213 computer-based).
