considering Georgia Highlands College, a two-year college within the State
University System of Georgia. Please pay close attention to the term that you
are applying for such as Fall, Spring or Summer. In order to apply for a
term that has already been deactivated, you will need to print off a copy of our
application from our web site at the following web link:

Please
take your time and answer every question as it will determine
what
documents may be needed to complete your file and your tuition
rate. Do
not leave the Residency section blank or you will be charged out-of-state
tuition rates.
It is also
important to note, that students have the ability to track their
admissions
status online through the Check Admissions Status link located on the main GHC web page. Please allow at least two weeks for processing.
In order to
determine what documentation may be required to complete the
admissions
process, please review the Application Procedures information
located below.
Failure to list
high school and all colleges previously or currently attending may
disqualify applicant.
Former students
and former applicants should not complete this application, instead you should
print of the application for readmissions/update form available at:

Admissions Procedures
- After reading the instructions, please fill out this online application as thoroughly as possible.
When you are finished, click the SUBMIT button on the left column of any application screen.
Print the application agreement statement that appears after you submit your application and keep for your records.
The application will not be processed until the application fee of $20 is received.
- Request that all official documents (high school and/or college transcripts, GED scores, certificate of immunization) be sent directly to:

- Submit the
GHC Certificate of Immunization Form prior to orientation.
- Freshman: Request that an official transcript of all high school work completed be sent to Georgia Highlands College (GHC). If you take college courses while completing your senior year of high school, request an official transcript from the college be sent directly to GHC.
- Transfer: Request that an official transcript be sent directly to GHC from EACH college or university previously attended. If you have less than 30 "transferable" semester hours of college credit you will need to provide an official copy of your high school transcript.
- Transient: Submit a copy of the transient permission letter from the college or university you are currently attending.
- Former student: If you have been a student at GHC (formerly Floyd College) previously, you should complete the READMISSION APPLICATION and not this form.
- Nontraditional: If you have graduated from high school over five years ago, provide proof of high school graduation or GED, and/or college transcripts.
- International students: Admissions requirements for applicants other than U.S. citizens and/or applicants educated outside the U.S. may be found at the following link:

- If your first language is not English or your primary language of instruction was not English, submit an official copy of either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or satisfactory SAT/ACT scores.
